Matthew's First Red Sox Game

Well, today was the day. We had tickets to the Sox-Orioles game, the weather took a turn for the better (it was supposed to rain) and we headed down to Fenway park for Matthew's first ballgame (we're assuming he didn't witness any live pro baseball in Korea).

It was a great day for a game as the weather was actually pretty nice. Truth be told we didn't stay for the whole game (it actually went into extra innings). The Red Sox lost but we got to see some good pitching. The main thing was Matthew enjoyed himself. He took in the sights and sounds of the park - ate a hot dog, cheered "Go Red Sox!", played with my cell phone and waited in a long beer line. Jodi came with us because she figured I would need a chaperone and she was right - although we know Jodi also wanted to Matthew's reaction the first time he walked into Fenway park.

We all had a really nice time. Here are the pics.

Matthew doing fun stuff...

The past few weeks we've been doing lots of fun stuff. We saw Sesame Street Live, where Matthew got to watch some of his favorite characters (specifically Ernie) sing and dance. A few days ago we went to the zoo with Aunt Rachel and today we went to the library to hear Mayor Menino read a few stories (which Matthew promptly ignored and spent the time drawing a picture) and then meet Winnie the Pooh.

Some Old Footage

I just unearthed some new footage of Matthew getting stuff done at the Discovery Museum a couple months ago.

Happy Easter

Truthfully, the highlight of Easter was when I ate about 1.5 pounds of bacon (some of which was canadian bacon). At the same time, little Matthew had himself a good time finding Easter eggs left by the Easter Bunny both at our house and in Winchester.

Video from our Florida trip

As you all probably know, Matthew has an obsession with Thomas the Train. It was great that we were able to capture on video Matthew's first ride on Thomas. He was very excited that he got to meet his idol and share the experience with Mason, Christian, Aunt Jessie, Granny, and Papa. It was a perfect day, which wasn't even ruined when Jessica got a flat tire. Chris had to change the tire in 80 degree weather- thanks again for that Chris!

We also had a blast celebrating Mason's 2nd birthday. I feel like it was just yesterday when Mason was born. Wow does time fly!!

1 year (and a few days) since we first saw Matthew's beautiful face

On March 27, 2009 I received a phone call that changed our lives forever... we had a baby boy! These are the first pictures we received of our son...

Happy 1 year (and a few days) anniversary since we first saw your adorable face, Matthew. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined what a happy, wonderful, loving, funny, smart and beautiful child we would have in our lives a year later! We are truly the luckiest people in the world!
