Today Matthew attended a birthday party for our 3 year old neighbor, Yasi. It was held at an indoor play area in Jamaica Plain. Matthew had a lot of fun playing with the trains (surprise, surprise), the animals in the "pet hospital" and running around with a hammer from the workbench. Although, nothing beat the fun he had painting for the first time. This place has a huge wall that looks like a dry erase board. They give the children smocks, cover the floor with plastic tarps and let them have a blast getting messy with painting the wall. Matthew kept saying "mama fun" while he was painting (oh- yes, Matthew is starting to speak in 2-word sentences- it's amazing!) This party was a huge success and he even got to take home a red balloon.
