Edaville Holiday Lights

We woke up yesterday morning not having anything to do all day. We decided to be spontaneous and head to Edaville Railroad for their holiday lights celebration. We've never been there before during the holidays and it was amazing! I'm not sure who had more fun- me, Chris or Matthew.

More Pics from Halloween

Halloween Was Fun

As you can imagine, halloween with a 2-year old can be a fun thing. Suffice to say Matthew is not ordinary two year old and therefore, Halloween ended up being even more fun than expected.

Things started out with a million different halloween things Matthew and Jodi these past few weeks including carving pumpkins, watching halloween shows and singing halloween songs. All things halloween came to a head this weekend. We had a nice trip to the zoo yesterday with my parents and Aunt Andy and Matthew got to wear his costume and trick or treat at the zoo. Then today we had a good old fashioned halloween with trick or treating.

We took Matthew out around our neighborhood. He said "trick or treat" and "thank you" (with a little prodding) and he had a lot of fun riding his horse "Bullseye" around the neighborhood. Brad and Rachel came by to join in on the festivities and even got their own costumes. Jodi made a very delicious dinner and the Patriots won.

Matthew was looking forward to Halloween for weeks and I think he had a very good time!

How Do You Like Them Apples?

We went apple picking yesterday with our friends Melissa and Chandra and Melissa's 4-year-old daughter, Ariana and 2-year old boy Aidan. Dana also came and we had a really nice time. It was a really perfect day for being outside ... classic fall weather. Most apples are actually picked in September before it really becomes fall-like outside so there weren't too many apples left on the trees but we managed to make off with a couple pretty big bags - enough for Matthew to eat 5-6 apples a day and Jodi to bake a pie (which she is doing as I write this).

It's great to see the little kids hang out. Matthew loves playing with Aidan and totally looks up to Ariana and even walks around holding her hand sometimes. Here are some videos ... and there will be a lot more pics to come.
